UML:
UML (Unified Modeling Language) is an industry standard modeling language, which is managed through the Object Management Group, a not-for-profit computer industry specifications consortium, whose members define and maintain the UML specification. The specification is published as a series of documents, which is free for download from www.uml.org. Applying the UML effectively involves knowledge and expertise in two areas: 1) the UML specification itself, and 2) knowledge of a UML compliant modeling tool. Expershare delivers fast and cost-effective mentoring in UML in both of these key areas, mitigating risk on projects with less experienced practitioners.
UML is ubiquitous in formal systems engineering today, and has been widely accepted as the defacto design notation by systems engineers. ExperShare has been involved in UML from day one. Prior to the founding ExperShare in 1999, our respective careers were involved in early object-oriented design and use-case driven methods, pre-dating the UML. Our collective experience with UML supported design tools has included many vendors and versions of the UML. We have been everyday practitioners of the UML for many years, and we speak the language fluently. | | | Our professional service offerings relating to UML include:
| | Independent Verification and Validation of UML architecture, design, deployment and use case models | | Training and mentoring UML-driven initiatives in the proper application on UML. | | Development of UML models, and refactoring (reverse engineering) code and requirements into model artifacts. | | Professional guidance relating to infrastructure to support team collaborative development based upon UML and UML modeling tools |
